What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a franchisee, you are restricted from engaging in any competitive business during the term of the franchise agreement. Specifically, you are prohibited from diverting or attempting to divert any present or prospective customer, employing or seeking to employ any person employed by Gokhale Method, its affiliates, or any of its franchisees, and from being involved in any Competitive Business. This restriction is detailed in Section 17.1 of the franchise agreement.
This non-compete clause is a standard practice in franchising to protect the franchisor's brand, customer base, and proprietary information. It ensures that franchisees focus solely on growing the Gokhale Method business and do not use their knowledge or resources gained from the franchise to benefit a competing venture.
