What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, after the termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, franchisees must take specific steps to de-identify their former business location. Franchisees must eliminate any use or display of Gokhale Method's trademarks (referred to as 'Marks'), which includes ceasing the use of signs, advertising materials, displays, stationery, forms, products, and any other items displaying the Marks.

Additionally, franchisees are required to make modifications or alterations to the location to differentiate its appearance from a Gokhale Method Franchised Business. This includes changing the telephone number and assigning it to Gokhale Method, if Gokhale Method does not elect to acquire the lease or sublease for the location.

These actions ensure that the public will not confuse the former franchise location with an active Gokhale Method business, protecting the brand's integrity and preventing potential consumer confusion. Compliance with these de-identification requirements is essential to avoid any legal repercussions or disputes with Gokhale Method after the franchise agreement ends.
