What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method emphasizes the importance of maintaining high operating standards to protect its brand reputation and the value of its trademarks. As a Gokhale Method franchisee, you must adhere to the operating standards detailed in the Franchise Agreement, the Teacher's Manual, and Policy Statements. Gokhale Method has the right to suspend your teaching privileges or terminate the Franchise Agreement if you fail to meet these standards.

The agreement specifies that franchisees must only teach the Gokhale System in approved formats and use only approved related classes, services, and products. Any deviation from these standards requires prior written consent from Gokhale Method, and they reserve the right to disapprove any Gokhale Method branded class, service, product, merchandise, or equipment at any time. Franchisees are also obligated to attend any required continuing training sessions.

Furthermore, franchisees cannot allow other individuals to teach the Gokhale System without express written consent from Gokhale Method, and they are prohibited from delegating, franchising, or employing others to fulfill their obligations under the Franchise Agreement. This underscores Gokhale Method's control over the quality and consistency of its services.

While the FDD excerpts highlight Gokhale Method's standards and the franchisee's duty to comply, the documents do not explicitly state that Gokhale Method has the right to inspect the franchisee's business operations. A prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Gokhale Method regarding their rights to conduct on-site inspections or audits to ensure compliance with operating standards.
