What This Means (2024 FDD)

The 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document states that Gokhale Method has the right, but not the obligation, to maintain health and safety standards at the franchised business.

The franchisee is required to furnish Gokhale Method with copies of all health inspection reports and any violation or citation indicating a failure to maintain federal, state, or local health or safety standards. Failure to cure such violations within 24 hours constitutes grounds for immediate termination of the franchise agreement.

The FDD states that Gokhale Method has the right to enter the location to make changes if the franchisee fails or refuses to comply with specific requirements, without being guilty of trespass or any other tort, for the purpose of making or causing to be made such changes as may be required, at the expense of the franchisee, which expense the franchisee agrees to pay upon demand. The excerpt does not explicitly state whether Gokhale Method can conduct inspections without prior notice, but it does emphasize the importance of maintaining health and safety standards and the consequences of failing to do so.
