Does Gokhale Method have the right to authorize additional training programs?

Gokhale_Method Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

We may also authorize Franchisees to offer other wellness offerings from time to time, but we have not, as of this date of this Disclosure Document, identified them, and to sell products or services that we authorize from time to time. We also reserve the right to offer to sell this franchise to yoga, wellness or similar instructors who may teach the Gokhale Method as a supplement to their offerings. Your rights to teach the Gokhale Method depend upon your completion to our satisfaction of not only your Initial Training but also such other and further training classes or refresher courses as we may authorize or direct from time to time. We may suspend your right to teach one or more courses or formats if you have not completed to our satisfaction all required training or refresher requirements, programs or courses.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method retains the right to authorize additional training programs. The FDD specifies that a franchisee's right to teach the Gokhale Method depends on completing not only the initial training but also any further training classes or refresher courses that Gokhale Method may authorize or direct. Furthermore, Gokhale Method can suspend a franchisee's right to teach courses if they have not satisfactorily completed all required training or refresher programs. This ensures that all instructors are up-to-date with the latest techniques and methods approved by Gokhale Method.

This provision allows Gokhale Method to maintain quality control and consistency across all franchised locations. By mandating additional training, Gokhale Method can adapt its curriculum to reflect new research, techniques, or customer needs. This also protects the brand's reputation by ensuring that all instructors meet a certain standard of proficiency.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they must be prepared to invest time and potentially money in ongoing training and development. While this may represent an additional cost, it also provides an opportunity to enhance their skills and stay current with the Gokhale Method's teachings. It is important for potential franchisees to inquire about the frequency, content, and cost of these additional training programs to fully understand the ongoing requirements of the franchise agreement.

It is also important to note that the Gokhale Method can authorize franchisees to offer other wellness offerings from time to time and to sell products or services that they authorize from time to time. As of the date of the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, these additional wellness offerings have not been identified.
