What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for researching and obtaining all necessary permits and licenses for their franchised business. This includes operating the business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The franchisee bears the expense of securing these permits and licenses.

This means a prospective Gokhale Method franchisee must proactively investigate and understand the specific regulatory landscape in their chosen location. This involves identifying required permits, licenses, and adhering to local laws relevant to operating a Gokhale Method franchise.

Furthermore, the franchisee must maintain ethical business conduct in dealings with customers, suppliers, and the franchisor. They are also obligated to inform Gokhale Method immediately of any legal actions or governmental orders that could negatively impact the business's operations or financial standing.

This requirement aligns with standard franchising practices, where franchisees typically handle local regulatory compliance while the franchisor provides the brand, system, and overall operational framework. Franchisees should consult with local legal and business advisors to ensure full compliance.
