What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method retains the right to modify or change the Marks (trademarks) used to identify the Gokhale System. This includes the option to discontinue using existing Marks or substitute them with different Marks.
This provision means that as a franchisee, you must comply with any changes Gokhale Method makes to its Marks. You are responsible for covering the expenses associated with implementing these changes. This could involve updating signage, marketing materials, and other branded items to reflect the new Marks.
The fact that Gokhale Method can change the Marks and require franchisees to update them at their own expense is a risk factor. While rebranding can sometimes be beneficial, it can also be costly and disruptive for franchisees. It is important to consider the potential financial burden and operational challenges that could arise if Gokhale Method decides to implement a change in its branding strategy. Franchisees should seek clarification on how often these changes occur and what support Gokhale Method provides during such transitions.
