What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, the company has the right to suspend a franchisee's license to teach under specific conditions. Gokhale Method may suspend a franchisee's right to teach if the franchisee is not current with the requirements for teachers or is not in good standing. The requirements to maintain qualification and good standing are included in the Teacher's Manual and/or Policy Statements.

Furthermore, Gokhale Method may suspend a franchisee's right to teach if the franchisee fails to attend and participate in continuing training programs until the franchisee completes the required continuing training and is re-approved. If a franchisee's right to teach has been suspended, and they still offer to teach, Gokhale Method may terminate the Franchise Agreement immediately upon notice.

Additionally, Gokhale Method has the right to suspend a franchisee's right to teach if the franchisee fails to maintain the company's operating standards, as expressed in the Franchise Agreement, the Teacher's Manual, and in Policy Statements. The franchisee also agrees not to teach, administer, advise, or represent any method, healing regimen, or protocol that is not part of the Gokhale System unless it has been previously approved in writing by Gokhale Method for use as such.

These stipulations are fairly typical in franchising, as franchisors need to ensure quality control and consistency across all franchise locations. For a prospective franchisee, this means understanding and adhering to all requirements outlined in the Teacher's Manual, Policy Statements, and Franchise Agreement to avoid suspension or termination.
