What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, it is not explicitly stated whether Gokhale Method can offer franchisee-developed ideas and concepts to its affiliates, other franchisees, or business partners. However, the document does outline certain rights and restrictions regarding the operation of the franchised business and competitive activities.

Specifically, the franchise agreement grants franchisees the right to teach, offer, or sell services or products under the Gokhale Method name, as well as the right to advertise and promote these services and products. Additionally, franchisees have the right to acquire, be acquired by, merge, or affiliate with other businesses, even those that may be competitive. However, franchisees are restricted from engaging in any Competitive Business within a 10-mile radius of their former location or any existing Gokhale Method location for two years after the termination of their franchise agreement, unless otherwise approved in writing by Gokhale Method.

Given the absence of explicit information regarding the sharing of franchisee-developed ideas, it is important for potential franchisees to seek clarification from Gokhale Method regarding the ownership and usage rights of any new concepts or improvements developed by franchisees during the course of their business. Understanding these rights is crucial for franchisees who may wish to innovate and contribute to the Gokhale Method system, as well as for Gokhale Method in maintaining consistency and quality across its franchise network.
