What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method may provide consultations to assist franchisees in operating their franchised businesses, but they are not obligated to do so. Section 4.5 of the franchise agreement states that Gokhale Method may conduct inspections and "may also provide you with consultations to assist you in operating your Franchised Business." This indicates that providing consultations is at Gokhale Method's discretion.
This means that as a franchisee, you cannot demand or legally require Gokhale Method to provide you with consultations. While they may offer assistance, it is not a guaranteed part of the franchise agreement. This is a common practice in franchising, where franchisors often provide support but retain the flexibility to determine the extent and nature of that support.
Prospective franchisees should consider this when evaluating the level of support they can expect from Gokhale Method. It would be prudent to discuss with Gokhale Method during the due diligence process what type of consultations are typically provided, under what circumstances they are offered, and whether there are any costs associated with such consultations. Understanding the typical support structure will help in making an informed decision about investing in a Gokhale Method franchise.
