What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method does not negotiate franchisee purchase arrangements with suppliers. This means that franchisees are responsible for independently negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, without the direct involvement of Gokhale Method in securing potentially favorable deals.
However, Gokhale Method does require franchisees to purchase certain proprietary items directly from them, such as the Gokhale® Roller, Gokhale Pain-Free™ Chair, Stretchsit® Cushions, Gokhale® Wedges, Gokhale® Head Cushions, and copies of 8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back. For other required equipment and supplies, franchisees can purchase from any source, provided the items meet Gokhale Method's specifications.
This arrangement gives franchisees some flexibility in sourcing equipment and supplies, potentially allowing them to find competitive pricing. However, it also places the onus on the franchisee to ensure that all purchased items meet Gokhale Method's standards. Franchisees should carefully review the required specifications and approved supplier lists (if any) to avoid purchasing non-compliant items. Prospective franchisees should confirm if Gokhale Method provides a detailed list of approved suppliers and product specifications to ease the purchasing process.
