Can the Gokhale Method limit a franchisee's teaching to a particular country?
Gokhale_Method Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
We reserve the right to limit your teaching of the Gokhale Method to a particular country, such as the United States. We also reserve the right to approve or disapprove the general area in which you propose to teach, based upon our qualification to sell franchises in that area. For all of these reasons, there may be other franchised teachers or classes offered by us in your geographic area, and we may ourselves choose to operate in the same area, with such resources as we deem appropriate.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method reserves the right to limit a franchisee's teaching to a specific country. For example, Gokhale Method could limit a franchisee's teaching to only the United States.
Additionally, Gokhale Method retains the right to approve or disapprove the general area in which a franchisee proposes to teach, based on their qualification to sell franchises in that area. This means that even within an approved country, Gokhale Method can restrict the geographic area where a franchisee can operate.
Because Gokhale Method does not grant exclusive territories, franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other channels of distribution. Gokhale Method also reserves the right to operate in the same area as a franchisee. Therefore, prospective franchisees should be aware that their teaching area could be limited to a specific country and geographic area within that country, and they may face competition from various sources.
