What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor must provide the Franchise Disclosure Document to you 14 calendar days before you sign a binding agreement with, or make a payment to, the franchisor or an affiliate in connection with the proposed franchise sale or grant. New York law requires a franchisor to provide the Franchise Disclosure Document at the earlier of the first personal meeting or ten (10) business days before the execution of the franchise or other agreement or the payment of any consideration that relates to the franchise relationship.

This 14-day period is mandated by federal law, allowing potential franchisees adequate time to review the FDD and seek professional advice before committing to the franchise. The New York law provides an alternative timeline of the first personal meeting or ten business days before signing or payment, whichever comes first.

It is important for prospective Gokhale Method franchisees to be aware of these timelines and ensure they receive the FDD well in advance of any financial commitment. This allows for a thorough evaluation of the franchise opportunity and informed decision-making.
