What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must personally manage and operate the business, and only they are permitted to teach classes in the Gokhale Method. Franchisees are obligated to diligently perform their duties under the agreements, continuously strive to promote and enhance the business, and avoid engaging in any conflicting business activities that would hinder their ability to operate the franchised business in accordance with the Franchise Agreement. While franchisees can engage in other business ventures, they must ensure that these activities do not interfere with or become mixed with Gokhale Method activities or methodologies. This underscores the importance of the franchisee's direct involvement and commitment to the Gokhale Method system.
The agreement emphasizes that franchisees must adhere to Gokhale Method's operating standards as detailed in the Franchise Agreement, the Teacher's Manual, and Policy Statements. Failure to maintain these standards could lead to suspension of teaching rights or even termination of the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees are also restricted from teaching or promoting any method, healing regimen, or protocol not explicitly approved by Gokhale Method as part of the Gokhale System. This ensures consistency and quality control across all Gokhale Method franchises.
Furthermore, franchisees are required to sell and deliver the Gokhale System in approved formats only, using only those classes, services, and products that have been expressly approved in writing by Gokhale Method and for which the franchisee is qualified. Deviation from these standards is not permitted without prior written consent, and Gokhale Method retains the right to disapprove any Gokhale Method branded class, service, product, merchandise, and equipment at any time. Franchisees must also attend any and all required continuing training to stay updated with the latest standards and practices. These stipulations highlight Gokhale Method's commitment to maintaining a uniform brand experience and the importance of franchisees staying aligned with the company's evolving standards and offerings.
