What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must personally manage and operate the business. Only the franchisee is allowed to teach classes in the Gokhale Method. Franchisees must diligently perform their obligations under the franchise agreement and exert their best efforts to promote the business.
The franchisee is permitted to engage in other business activities, but these activities cannot be mixed with any Gokhale Method activities or methodologies. This means a franchisee can have other business interests, but they must be kept separate from the Gokhale Method franchise operations to avoid any conflicts of interest or confusion for customers.
Gokhale Method emphasizes that every detail of the system and franchised business is important for delivering high-quality service and product. Franchisees must comply with the operating standards detailed in the Franchise Agreement, the Teacher's Manual, and Policy Statements. Failure to maintain these operating standards could result in suspension of teaching rights or termination of the Franchise Agreement.
Franchisees must only teach the Gokhale System in approved formats and cannot deviate from the franchisor's standards and specifications without prior written consent. They also must attend any and all required continuing training. Franchisees are not allowed to let other persons teach the Gokhale System without express written consent from Gokhale Method, and they cannot delegate, franchise, or employ others to carry out the duties of the Franchise Agreement.
