What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must personally manage and operate the business, and only the franchisee may teach classes in the Gokhale Method. The franchisee is obligated to perform their duties under the agreements faithfully, honestly, and diligently. They must continuously exert their best efforts to promote and enhance the business.
This means a Gokhale Method franchisee cannot simply invest in the franchise and leave the operations to someone else. They are expected to be actively involved in the day-to-day management and teaching aspects of the business. This personal involvement is a key component of the franchise agreement.
Furthermore, the franchisee cannot engage in any other business or activity that conflicts with their obligations to operate the franchised business in compliance with the Franchise Agreement. While they may engage in other businesses or activities, they cannot co-mingle them with any Gokhale Method activities or methodologies. This ensures that the franchisee's focus remains on the Gokhale Method business and that there is no conflict of interest or confusion for customers.
