What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific standards when delivering the Gokhale System to students. Franchisees are required to sell, offer, and deliver the Gokhale System only in approved formats, along with related classes, services, and products that have been expressly approved in writing by Gokhale Method and for which the franchisee is qualified. Deviation from these standards and specifications is not permitted without prior written consent from Gokhale Method. Franchisees must also discontinue selling any Gokhale Method branded class, service, product, merchandise, and equipment that Gokhale Method may disapprove of in writing at any time. The current schedule of Approved Formats and requirements for them is annexed as Exhibit B.
Furthermore, franchisees are prohibited from allowing other individuals to teach the Gokhale System without express written consent from Gokhale Method. The franchisee themselves must be personally involved in teaching and cannot delegate, franchise, or employ others to carry out the teaching duties outlined in the Franchise Agreement. This ensures that the quality and consistency of the Gokhale Method are maintained across all franchised locations.
These obligations are put in place to maintain high operating standards, increase demand for Gokhale Method's services and products, protect and enhance the brand's reputation and goodwill, and promote and protect the value of the Gokhale Method marks. Failure to comply with these operating standards may result in the suspension of the franchisee's right to teach or even termination of the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees are also required to attend any and all required continuing training to stay updated on the approved methods and standards.
