What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses for their franchised business. Specifically, the franchisee must research the requirements for and obtain all permits and licenses at their own expense.

This means that prospective Gokhale Method franchisees need to factor in the costs and time associated with researching and acquiring the necessary licenses and permits to operate their Gokhale Method franchise. These costs can vary significantly depending on the location of the franchise, as different states, counties, and municipalities have different regulatory requirements.

Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to operate the franchised business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, adhere to good business practices, and maintain high standards of ethical conduct in all dealings with customers, suppliers, and Gokhale Method itself. The franchisee must also immediately notify Gokhale Method in writing of any legal actions or governmental orders that could adversely affect the operation or financial condition of the franchise.

This requirement is standard in the franchise industry, as franchisees typically operate as independent business owners responsible for their own compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Prospective franchisees should consult with legal and business advisors to ensure they understand all licensing and permitting requirements in their area before investing in a Gokhale Method franchise.
