What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from contesting the franchisor's rights to communicate with students. While franchisees have the right to recruit and teach students, Gokhale Method retains exclusive rights to communicate with, market to, and maintain relationships with those students.
This means a Gokhale Method franchisee cannot legally challenge Gokhale Method's communication strategies or marketing efforts directed at students they have taught. Furthermore, franchisees are not allowed to interfere with the relationships Gokhale Method establishes with these students. This condition is part of the agreement a franchisee enters into, acknowledging Gokhale Method's overarching control over student communications and relationships.
This aspect of the franchise agreement ensures that Gokhale Method maintains a consistent brand message and direct connection with all students, regardless of which franchisee initially taught them. For a prospective franchisee, this highlights the importance of understanding that while they can recruit and teach, the long-term relationship with the student remains with Gokhale Method itself. This may impact how franchisees build their business and manage student interactions, as they must always respect Gokhale Method's communication rights.
