What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, only individuals who have been expressly approved in writing by Gokhale Method are authorized to teach the Gokhale System. The franchise agreement states that franchisees themselves must personally be involved in teaching and cannot allow other persons to teach the Gokhale System without explicit written consent from Gokhale Method. Franchisees are also prohibited from delegating, franchising, or employing others to fulfill their duties under the Franchise Agreement.

To become authorized to teach, a franchisee must successfully complete the Initial Training program to Gokhale Method's satisfaction. This includes a week-long Immersion Week at the company headquarters or other designated locations, participation in at least twelve teacher webinars, self-study of the Gokhale Foundations course materials, and teaching the full six-lesson Gokhale Foundations course in a one-on-one setting to two separate practice students.

During the training process, franchisees are required to record themselves teaching each of the six Gokhale Foundations lessons, accompanied by self-critiques. These recordings are reviewed by peers, and the franchisee must also evaluate recordings submitted by other trainees. Each lesson video must be approved before the franchisee is qualified to teach. Failure to complete all Initial Training and become qualified to teach within six months of attending the Immersion Week may result in termination of the Franchise Agreement.
