Under the Franchise Agreement, you must personally manage and operate the business and only you may teach classes in the Gokhale Method. You must at all times faithfully, honestly and diligently perform your obligations under the agreements, continuously exert your best efforts to promote and enhance the Business and not engage in any other business or activity that conflicts with your obligations to operate the Franchised Business in compliance with the Franchise Agreement. You may engage in other businesses or activities, but may not comingle them with any Gokhale Method activities or methodologies.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to engage in other business activities, but with specific limitations. While franchisees must personally manage and operate the Gokhale Method business and teach classes themselves, they are not entirely restricted from pursuing other ventures.
However, the agreement stipulates that franchisees cannot engage in any business or activity that conflicts with their obligations to operate the Gokhale Method franchise in compliance with the Franchise Agreement. Furthermore, franchisees are prohibited from commingling other business activities or methodologies with any Gokhale Method activities.
This means a Gokhale Method franchisee can have other business interests, but these must be kept entirely separate from the franchise and must not interfere with the franchisee's ability to fulfill their obligations under the Franchise Agreement. This is a fairly typical restriction in franchising, intended to ensure the franchisee's focus remains on the success of the Gokhale Method business.
