What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may have the right to renew their franchise agreement for additional terms of five years. However, this right is subject to certain conditions. One of the conditions is that the franchisee must sign a new form of franchise agreement.
To renew the franchise, the franchisee must provide written notice to Gokhale Method expressing their decision to renew. This notice must be given no fewer than three months and no more than 12 months before the current term expires.
In addition to providing timely notice and signing a new franchise agreement, Gokhale Method may also require the franchisee to execute a general release in their favor as a condition of renewal. This means the franchisee may need to waive any existing or potential claims against Gokhale Method to be eligible for renewal.
