What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor does not charge a fee for the Teacher Training Immersion Week. However, franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred while attending the Immersion Week, including transportation, lodging, and meals. Franchisees will be responsible for paying for all other training as per the then current fee schedule.

Initial training is a crucial step to becoming a Gokhale Method teacher. To become an approved teacher, franchisees must attend and successfully complete the Initial Training to the franchisor's satisfaction, pass all evaluations, and be formally approved by the Gokhale Method to teach. If a franchisee does not complete all training and has not qualified to teach within six months of attending the Teacher Training Immersion Week, the Gokhale Method may terminate the agreement with 30 days' notice if the franchisee fails to rectify the situation.

Continuing training is also required to maintain approval to teach the approved formats. These programs may include attendance at the Annual Meeting, participation in Teacher Webinars, peer review of teacher trainees, and involvement in Gokhale® Active. Failure to attend and participate in such continuing training programs may result in suspension of the franchisee's right to teach the Gokhale System until the required continuing training has been completed and re-approval has been granted. If the right to teach has been suspended, and the franchisee still offers to teach, Gokhale Method may terminate the agreement immediately upon notice.
