Answer from 2024 FDD Document

  • 7.2. Continuing Training. You must attend such additional courses, seminars and other training programs as we may reasonably require from time to time, and which will be detailed in the then current Teachers' Manual, in order to maintain your approval to teach the Approved Formats for which you have been approved. Such continuing training may include, but is not limited to, attendance at the Annual Meeting, participation in such Teacher Webinars as may be scheduled by us, peer review of teacher trainees, and involvement in Gokhale® Active. Failure to attend and participate in such continuing training programs may result in suspension of your right to teach the Gokhale System until you have completed our required continuing training and you have been re-approved. If your right to teach has been suspended, and you nonetheless offer to teach, we may terminate this Agreement immediately upon notice to you. As part of your continuing approval we may request that you submit at reasonable intervals, and you agree to submit to us within such reasonable time as we specify, audiotapes or videotapes of you teaching, and which will be detailed in the then current Teachers' Manual. We may submit such recordings to peer review by other Gokhale Method teachers, and you hereby grant us your consent for such submission.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, maintaining approval to teach the Gokhale Method is directly dependent on attending continuing training programs. Franchisees must attend additional courses, seminars, and other training programs that Gokhale Method reasonably requires. These required programs will be detailed in the current Teachers' Manual. Continuing training may include attendance at the Annual Meeting, participation in Teacher Webinars, peer review of teacher trainees, and involvement in Gokhale® Active.

Failure to attend and participate in the required continuing training programs may result in the suspension of the franchisee's right to teach the Gokhale System. The right to teach remains suspended until the franchisee completes the required continuing training and is re-approved by Gokhale Method. If a franchisee whose right to teach has been suspended offers to teach, Gokhale Method can terminate the Franchise Agreement immediately upon notice.

As part of the continuing approval process, Gokhale Method may request franchisees to submit audiotapes or videotapes of their teaching at reasonable intervals. These recordings may be submitted for peer review by other Gokhale Method teachers. The details of these submissions will be outlined in the current Teachers' Manual. Franchisees must agree to submit these recordings within the specified timeframe and consent to their submission for peer review.
