What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is granted the right to teach the Gokhale System to specific categories of students in authorized formats. These students are defined as "Consumer Students," which refers to individual students or groups of students solicited individually by the franchisee.
The agreement explicitly restricts franchisees from teaching the Gokhale System to other types of students without specific authorization. These restricted groups include "Corporate Groups" (students organized by companies or organizations) and "Wholesale Groups" (students aggregated by a third party without prior affiliation). This distinction is important for franchisees as it defines the scope of their permitted teaching activities and potential revenue streams.
This limitation ensures that the Gokhale Method is taught in a manner consistent with the franchisor's standards and maintains the integrity of the system. Franchisees must adhere to these guidelines to avoid violating the franchise agreement, which could lead to suspension or termination of their franchise rights. Understanding the definition of "Consumer Students" is therefore crucial for a prospective franchisee to operate within the bounds of the agreement and focus their marketing and teaching efforts accordingly.
