Besides GME, under what condition can I purchase pillows for Gokhale Method Foundations courses?

Gokhale_Method Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

As a part of scheduling group Gokhale® Foundations courses, you must own or make available for use the following: one chair per student; one Stretchsit® Cushion per student; one Gokhale® Wedge per student; one Gokhale® Head Cushion per student; two pillows per student (you can use the institute's automated form to request students to bring their own); one yoga mat or equivalent lying surface per student (you can use the institute's automated form to request students to bring their own). GME is the only approved supplier of the items identified in this paragraph, except that you may purchase the chairs, pillows, and yoga mats from any supplier approved by us.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally required to purchase specific items, including pillows, for Gokhale Method Foundations courses from GME. However, there is an exception. Franchisees can purchase chairs, pillows, and yoga mats from any supplier approved by Gokhale Method.

This means that while GME is the primary supplier, franchisees have the flexibility to source these items from alternative suppliers, provided that Gokhale Method has given its explicit approval to those suppliers. This arrangement allows for some degree of cost comparison and potentially more favorable purchasing terms, while still ensuring that the products meet Gokhale Method's standards for quality and suitability.

For a prospective Gokhale Method franchisee, it is important to understand the process for getting a supplier approved and what standards the supplier must meet. This could involve submitting samples, providing specifications, or undergoing an audit. Franchisees should inquire about the criteria Gokhale Method uses to evaluate and approve suppliers to take advantage of this option.
