What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may incur several fees beyond the Annual Meeting Fee ($450 annually upon registration) and the Teacher Webinar Fee ($240 annually). These additional fees cover various aspects of the Gokhale Method program and are essential for maintaining an active franchise. These fees include Gokhale Foundations ($180 per student and course), Gokhale Consultation ($30 per student and lesson), Continuing Education Class ($10 per student and hour), Billing Fee (2.5% of transaction), and Gokhale Active (Premium) Membership Fee ($140 annually).
The fees for continuing training programs and other fees that Gokhale Method may require are detailed in the Teachers Manual or Policy Statements. These fees are subject to change with thirty days' notice. Franchisees are also expected to make expenditures and contributions for advertising and brand promotion as specified in Section 12 of the franchise agreement.
Furthermore, Gokhale Method may deduct charges, fees, or other payments owed to them, including those for continuing education, products or equipment purchased, or any other fees or charges, from payments due to the franchisee. Prospective franchisees should carefully review the Teachers' Manual and Policy Statements to understand the full scope of potential fees and ensure they are prepared for these ongoing costs. Understanding these fees is crucial for budgeting and financial planning as a Gokhale Method franchisee.
