What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Gokhale Method's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for researching and obtaining all necessary permits and licenses for their franchised business and bears the expenses associated with these activities. This includes complying with all applicable laws and regulations. The franchisee must operate the business according to these laws and regulations, maintain good business practices, and uphold high standards of honesty and ethical conduct in all dealings with customers, suppliers, and Gokhale Method itself.

This means that a prospective Gokhale Method franchisee needs to budget not only for the initial franchise fee and ongoing royalties but also for the costs of permits, licenses, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. These costs can vary significantly depending on the location of the franchise and the specific requirements of that area. It is essential for franchisees to conduct thorough research to understand the regulatory landscape in their chosen territory.

Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to inform Gokhale Method in writing about any legal actions, suits, proceedings, orders, or decrees from any court or governmental body that could negatively impact the operation or financial condition of the franchised business. This requirement ensures that Gokhale Method is kept informed of any potential legal or regulatory issues that could affect the brand or the franchise system as a whole. Failing to comply with these regulations could lead to penalties, legal issues, or even termination of the franchise agreement.
