What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, Gokhale Method Institute, Inc. must formally approve a franchisee's training before they are allowed to teach. Specifically, to gain approval, a franchisee must attend and successfully complete the Initial Training to Gokhale Method's satisfaction, pass all evaluations, and then be formally approved by Gokhale Method to teach.

This initial training is comprised of a Teacher Training Immersion Week in addition to follow-up training and practice requirements designed to prepare the franchisee to teach the Gokhale System to both groups and individuals. If a franchisee does not complete all training and has not qualified to teach within six months of attending the Teacher Training Immersion Week, Gokhale Method has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement after providing 30 days' notice, assuming the franchisee fails to rectify the situation.

Furthermore, franchisees must also attend additional courses, seminars, and training programs that Gokhale Method may reasonably require to maintain their approval to teach the approved formats. These requirements will be detailed in the then-current Teacher's Manual. Failure to participate in these continuing training programs may result in the suspension of the franchisee's right to teach the Gokhale System until the training is completed and re-approval is granted. If a franchisee teaches while suspended, Gokhale Method can terminate the agreement immediately.
