What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchised business involves specific rights related to teaching, offering, and selling Gokhale Method services and products. The franchisee is granted the right to teach the Gokhale System in authorized formats to individual students or groups solicited individually, referred to as 'Consumer Students.' This excludes teaching to corporate groups or wholesale groups aggregated by a third party.

The franchise agreement specifies that franchisees do not have the right to teach, offer, or sell services or products under the Gokhale Method name through any channel of trade, including online sales, to individuals regardless of any prior relationship. Additionally, franchisees are not granted the exclusive right to host websites concerning the Gokhale Method or to advertise the services and products through any media. They also cannot offer or sell services and products under Gokhale Method's trademarks through any channels, including online or mail-order sales.

Furthermore, the agreement clarifies that franchisees do not have the right to engage in transactions such as merging or affiliating with other businesses, whether competitive or not. These restrictions ensure that Gokhale Method maintains control over its brand, teaching methods, and distribution channels, protecting its reputation and goodwill. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these limitations to understand the scope and restrictions of their franchised business operations.
