What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Focus Cfo Franchise Disclosure Document, the geographic region granted to a franchisee is detailed in Item 11. Specifically, Focus Cfo grants a geographic region with a seventy-five (75) mile radius from the franchisee's business address. However, the franchisor's approval of a specific site within this territory is not required.

This means that as a Focus Cfo franchisee, you will be given a protected area to operate within, measured as a 75-mile radius around your business address. This geographic exclusivity is a common feature in franchising, intended to prevent direct competition from other franchisees of the same brand. However, Focus Cfo does not assist in selecting a physical office space within that territory, obtaining permits, or handling any construction or remodeling.

It is important to note that while Focus Cfo grants this geographic region, the FDD states that the development of an area is contingent on the franchisee's ability to successfully implement the Focus CFO System, the needs of Focus Cfo clients in the area, the ability of the franchisee to develop Focus CFO clients, and the ability of the franchisee to work with CFOs and clients in their area. This implies that simply having a protected territory does not guarantee success; the franchisee must actively develop their client base and effectively utilize the Focus Cfo system.
