According to the 2025 Focus Cfo Franchise Disclosure Document, Focus Cfo requires franchisees to ensure that each Support Resource they hire executes a confidentiality, non-solicitation, and non-competition agreement. This agreement ensures that the Support Resource is bound to the same covenants as the Equity Owner of the Franchise, as outlined in the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee must provide a copy of this executed agreement to Focus Cfo within ten business days of hiring the Support Resource.

This requirement is in place to protect the Focus Cfo brand and system. The agreement aims to prevent Support Resources from disclosing confidential information, soliciting Focus Cfo's clients or employees, or competing with Focus Cfo's business. Since the Support Resources are held to the same standards as the Equity Owner, the restrictions would likely include non-compete clauses during the term of the agreement and for a period after termination, as well as non-solicitation clauses preventing the poaching of clients and employees.

As a franchisee, it is your responsibility to ensure that all Support Resources understand they are your employees and have no employment relationship with Focus Cfo. You are also responsible for all management, personnel, and training requirements for your Support Resources. Additionally, you must have appropriate insurance to cover the services performed by your Support Resources. Focus Cfo has the right to hold you liable for any breach of the Franchise Agreement caused by your Support Resources' failure to follow the Focus Cfo system.
