What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focus Cfo's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Focus Cfo will not be liable nor obligated to compensate a franchisee if they discontinue, modify, or change any copyrighted item. These copyrighted materials include the Playbook, training materials, advertising and promotional materials, standard proposal and contract documents, professional services agreements, and related materials.
Focus Cfo does claim copyright protection for these specified materials, but they have not registered any of them with the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress. Franchisees are only allowed to use these materials as long as they are a franchisee and only as provided in the Franchise Agreement.
This lack of liability for discontinuation, modification, or change of copyrighted items means that Focus Cfo franchisees must be prepared for potential changes to the materials they use in their business. They will not receive compensation for any disruptions or costs associated with these changes. This is a risk that prospective franchisees should consider when evaluating the Focus Cfo franchise opportunity.
