What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Focus Cfo's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee's business computer does not meet the minimum specifications determined by Focus Cfo's IT provider, the franchisee will be required to purchase, lease, and/or license new or modified computer hardware and/or software. Focus Cfo may modify hardware and software requirements, as well as any required IT services package, by providing 30 days prior notice.

Focus Cfo requires all franchisees to purchase a package of IT services selected by Focus Cfo from their approved IT vendor, currently C-Forward. This package includes an Office 365 license with access to Focus Cfo e-mail, Microsoft Office software, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft OneDrive. The IT package also includes security monitoring and IT support services. Focus Cfo will pay for the IT Services Fee until the franchisee begins to earn compensation. The IT Services Fee is deducted from each franchisee's compensation each pay period and currently costs $30 per pay.

The FDD estimates the initial cost to obtain a business computer, any related hardware or software, and the required package of IT services to be between $2,500 and $5,000. The annual costs of maintaining, updating, or upgrading support to the required business computer system and software are estimated to be $1,500 to $3,000. Focus Cfo's IT vendor will install an agent on the franchisee's business computer to monitor it for malware and viruses and has the right to access the computer and any non-password protected files to provide IT support and security monitoring services, typically requesting permission before accessing the computer.

Prospective franchisees should consider these computer requirements and potential costs when evaluating the Focus Cfo franchise opportunity. Ensuring that their computer systems meet the franchisor's specifications is crucial for maintaining the integrity and security of the Focus Cfo system and for receiving necessary IT support.
