What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Focus Cfo Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are subject to phishing testing campaigns conducted by Focus Cfo's IT provider. If a franchisee fails the phishing testing, they will be required to complete additional online cybersecurity training provided by Focus Cfo. This is to ensure that all franchisees are aware of the latest cybersecurity threats and how to avoid them.

Cybersecurity is a critical aspect of operating a Focus Cfo franchise, as franchisees handle sensitive financial information. The additional training serves as a safeguard to protect both the franchisee's business and the clients they serve. This requirement highlights Focus Cfo's commitment to maintaining a secure environment and protecting its brand reputation.

Phishing tests are a common method used by franchisors to assess and improve the cybersecurity awareness of their franchisees. The consequences for failing such tests can vary, but Focus Cfo's approach of requiring additional training is a constructive way to address the issue. This helps franchisees improve their knowledge and skills in identifying and avoiding phishing attacks, which can ultimately reduce the risk of data breaches and other security incidents.
