How are Focus Cfo franchisees paid?
Focus_Cfo Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Franchisees are paid as independent contractors based on the fees generated from the CFO Services performed by Franchisees and licensees for the Focus CFO client base. Franchisees are encouraged to use the marketing programs, tools and training they gain from the Focus CFO System to
jumpstart the Franchisee's marketing and development of their franchise and add potential clients to the Focus CFO client base. Focus CFO must approve all clients to ensure that the clients' business practices and reputation are consistent with Focus CFO's quality standards and the reputation of the Focus CFO Marks; however, Focus CFO is not involved in the day-to-day operations of our Franchisees.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focus Cfo's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are compensated as independent contractors. Their payment is directly linked to the fees generated from CFO services they and their licensees perform for Focus Cfo clients. This means a franchisee's income is directly tied to their ability to generate business and provide services through their network of CFOs.
Focus Cfo encourages franchisees to utilize the marketing programs, tools, and training provided by the Focus Cfo system to boost their marketing efforts and expand their client base. However, Focus Cfo retains the right to approve all clients to ensure they align with the company's quality standards and brand reputation. This approval process, while ensuring quality, also means that Focus Cfo has some level of control over the clients a franchisee can work with.
As Area Presidents, Focus Cfo franchisees focus on business development and strategic relationship management, matching clients with licensed CFOs. The franchisees essentially act as intermediaries, connecting clients with the appropriate CFO talent within the Focus Cfo network. This model emphasizes the franchisee's role as a business developer and manager rather than a direct service provider, as Focus Cfo no longer offers franchise opportunities to individuals wishing to operate as a CFO. This shift means franchisees must focus on building and managing relationships with both clients and CFOs to succeed.
