What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Focus Cfo's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are invited to attend certain optional training meetings. These include "All Hands Meetings" held twice per year, once virtually in the spring and once in-person in Columbus, Ohio, in the fall. Franchisees are also invited to "All AP" training and planning sessions, which are currently held twice per year in person at a location in the United States. Additionally, Focus Cfo franchisees are invited to attend monthly local group meetings, which may be in-person or virtual, depending on the local region.

It is important to note that while these training meetings are optional, Focus Cfo franchisees are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses for all of these sessions. This could represent a significant cost for franchisees, especially for the in-person meetings that require travel to Columbus, Ohio, or other locations within the United States. Therefore, prospective franchisees should factor in these potential expenses when evaluating the overall cost of investing in a Focus Cfo franchise.

In addition to the optional training meetings, Focus Cfo encourages all franchisees to attend outside training to become a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) through the Exit Planning Institute (EPI). This training consists of a 5-day virtual program, followed by a certification exam. The current cost of this program starts at $2,600 and is paid directly by the franchisee to EPI. While this training is not required, Focus Cfo sees value in franchisees obtaining the CEPA designation, which could enhance their expertise and credibility in the field.
