What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Focus Cfo Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from using the Focus Cfo registered name in any way that hasn't been expressly authorized in writing by Focus Cfo. This restriction extends to various aspects of the business, including the sale of unauthorized products or services. This requirement ensures that franchisees adhere to the brand's standards and maintain consistency in their offerings.

This requirement also extends to online activities. Franchisees must obtain written authorization from Focus Cfo before creating any social networking accounts that use the Focus Cfo Marks or promote Focus Cfo services, excluding personal accounts. This includes platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Franchisees must also comply with Focus Cfo's written policies for maintaining these social network accounts, and Focus Cfo retains the right to determine what content should be removed.

Furthermore, franchisees are not allowed to use any Focus Cfo Mark as part of a corporate or trade name, or with any modifications like prefixes, suffixes, or other designs or symbols, unless specifically authorized. This ensures that the Focus Cfo brand remains consistent and is not diluted by unauthorized variations. Franchisees are also required to prominently display the Focus Cfo Marks as directed by Focus Cfo from time to time.

These strict guidelines are typical in franchising, as franchisors like Focus Cfo need to protect their brand identity and ensure uniform representation across all franchise locations. Franchisees must be diligent in seeking and obtaining written authorization for any use of the Focus Cfo Marks to avoid potential breaches of the franchise agreement.
