According to the 2025 Focus CFO Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to complete online cybersecurity training. This training is provided by Focus CFO and must be completed during the franchisee's initial training, specifically within one week of receiving the training link. This requirement ensures that all franchisees have a baseline understanding of cybersecurity practices to protect the business and client data.
In addition to the initial cybersecurity training, Focus CFO franchisees are subject to phishing testing campaigns conducted by Focus CFO's IT services provider. If a franchisee fails these tests, they will be required to complete additional online cybersecurity training provided by Focus CFO. This ongoing assessment and training adaptation helps to keep franchisees up-to-date with current cyber threats and best practices.
This cybersecurity training requirement and ongoing testing are important for maintaining the integrity and security of Focus CFO's systems and client information. Franchisees should be prepared to dedicate the necessary time and effort to complete the initial training and any additional training required due to failed phishing tests. Failing to comply with these requirements could potentially impact a franchisee's ability to operate effectively and maintain client trust.
