What is the Focus CFO Franchisee granted the right to use?

According to the 2025 Focus CFO Franchise Disclosure Document, Focus CFO grants the franchisee the nonexclusive right to join Focus CFO as an independently operated business using the Focus CFO System and Focus CFO Marks. This allows the franchisee to market and offer CFO Services under the Focus CFO name and utilize the associated trademarks. However, Focus CFO retains all ownership rights in these marks, and the franchisee's use must be authorized in writing by Focus CFO.

This means that while franchisees can leverage the established Focus CFO brand to attract clients, they must adhere to the franchisor's guidelines and standards when using the brand's name and logos. Any unauthorized use or modification of the marks is prohibited, and franchisees must promptly report any infringement or challenges to their use of the marks to Focus CFO.

Focus CFO also controls the defense and settlement of any claims that the marks infringe upon the rights of a third party, provided that the franchisee notifies Focus CFO promptly in writing of any such claim and cooperates in the defense or settlement. Franchisees must modify or discontinue the use of a mark if Focus CFO modifies or discontinues it and must not contest Focus CFO's rights to the marks, trade secrets, or business techniques.
