Required Training which Franchisees are required to attend and successfully complete in their first twelve months after the effective date of their Franchise Agreement:

- All new Franchisees are required to attend the Focus CFO Mastery Program. This program reinforces mandatory specifications, standards and procedures, and best practices introduced in the initial training in Playbook. The program consists of six 90-minute sessions held the second and fourth Monday of each month. Sessions are held virtually.

- Area Presidents are required to participate in a Sandler Sales Training program through our approved vendor, The Ruby Group. The required program includes a Bootcamp and a minimum of eleven (11) months of reinforcement training and coaching. Area Presidents are expected to begin this program within 120 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. The program starts with a Bootcamp which is offered either in-person (a two-day back-toback session in Columbus, Ohio) or virtually (as 4 half-day sessions with two sessions held during each of two consecutive weeks) by The Ruby Group. After the completion of Bootcamp, the Area President will begin reinforcement training and coaching. Reinforcement training sessions are conducted virtually and include 90 minutes of virtual instruction held once a week. Coaching consists of individualized monthly one-on-one coaching sessions with an assigned Sandler coach. We will pay for the cost of this program up through the eleventh month of reinforcement training and coaching. Should an Area President elect to continue to participate in reinforcement training and coaching beyond the required minimum eleven (11) months, the Area President is responsible for 100% of the monthly costs for the duration of their participation. The current negotiated cost of the reinforcement training and coaching with The Ruby Group is $550 per month. Area Presidents are also responsible for their own travel, lodging, food and other out-of-pocket expenses, if applicable.

- Franchisee is required to attend one Climb the Mountain® Workshop. This workshop reinforces best practices introduced in the initial training in Playbook. This workshop is offered at least twice a year and is held in-person at a location within the United States.

- Franchisee is required to complete online cybersecurity training provided by Focus CFO during Franchisee's initial training. This training should be completed within one week of
receiving the link to the training. In addition, Franchisee will be subject to phishing testing campaigns conducted by Focus CFO's IT services provider. If Franchisee fails the testing, Franchisee will be required to complete additional online cybersecurity training provided by Focus CFO.
- Franchisee is required to attend Tuesday Night Training and Best Practices Sessions. during the Franchisee's first year. These sessions are 60 minutes and occur virtually on the second Tuesday of the month.
Ongoing Training which Franchisees are strongly encouraged to take advantage of:

- All Franchisees are invited to attend "All Hands Meetings," held twice per year. This meeting is held in the spring virtually and in the fall in-person in Columbus, Ohio. Franchisees will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.

- Area Presidents are invited to attend "All AP" training and planning sessions currently held twice per year. Sessions are held in-person at a location within the United States. Area Presidents are responsible for their own travel expenses for these sessions, if applicable.

- All Franchisees are invited to attend monthly local group meetings which may either be inperson in their local market or virtual. Franchisees are responsible for their own travel expenses for these sessions.

- All Franchisees are encouraged, but not required, to attend outside training to become a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). This training is provided through the Exit Planning Institute (EPI). The training consists of a 5-day executive style program which is conducted virtually. After completion of the program the individual takes a certification exam in order to obtain the CEPA designation. The current cost of this program starts at $2,600 and will be paid directly by the Franchisee to EPI.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Focus Cfo Franchise Disclosure Document, details regarding the training requirements for franchisees can be found in multiple sections. Initially, franchisees receive training on Focus CFO's standard business development process and client delivery best practices through the Focus CFO Playbook, which is completed remotely and reviewed with a Focus CFO representative.
There are several mandatory training programs that Focus Cfo franchisees must complete within their first year. These include the Focus CFO Mastery Program, consisting of six virtual 90-minute sessions, and attendance at one Climb the Mountain® Workshop, which is held in person twice a year within the United States. Franchisees are also required to complete online cybersecurity training provided by Focus CFO during their initial training, as well as attend Tuesday Night Training and Best Practices Sessions, which are 60-minute virtual sessions held monthly during the franchisee's first year.
In addition to required training, Focus Cfo franchisees are encouraged to attend optional training sessions such as "All Hands Meetings" and monthly local group meetings. Area Presidents are also invited to "All AP" training and planning sessions. Franchisees are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses for these optional sessions. Furthermore, Focus CFO may require additional training at the franchisee's expense if the Area President Responsibilities and/or Performance Standards are not met to Focus CFO's satisfaction. Franchisees must also participate in at least 75% of the total required training sessions held by Focus CFO to meet performance standards.
