What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focus Cfo's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the determination of an Area President's "home Region" for the purposes of the Compensation Policy is made by Focus CFO. This definition is relevant when an Area President borrows a CFO from another Area President's Marketing Team.
If a CFO is borrowed from a Marketing Team outside the Area President's home Region, a five percent deduction from the amount paid to the Area President applies for the life of the account. This amount is then paid to the Area President whose Marketing Team the CFO belongs to. Similarly, if the CFO is borrowed from a Marketing Team within the Area President's home Region, a five percent deduction applies if the Area President who owns the Marketing Team recruited that CFO after November 1, 2022. Again, the deducted amount is paid to the Area President whose Marketing Team provided the CFO.
Given that Focus CFO determines the "home Region," it is important for prospective franchisees to seek clarity from Focus CFO regarding the specific criteria and process used to define these regions. Understanding how Focus CFO defines "home Region" is crucial for Area Presidents, as it directly impacts their compensation when borrowing CFOs from other Marketing Teams within or outside their defined region. Franchisees should inquire about the factors considered in determining a region and any potential for regional boundaries to change, as these factors could affect their financial planning and operational strategies.
