- Background. We and you are parties to that certain Franchise Agreement that has been signed at the same time as the signing of this Rider (the "Franchise Agreement"). This Rider is part of the Franchise Agreement. This Rider is being signed because (a) the offer or sale of the franchise for the Franchised Business that you will operate under the Franchise Agreement was made in the State of California, and/or (b) you are a resident of California and the Franchised Business will be located in California.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Focalpoint Coaching Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee operating in Washington, a Washington resident, or one who engaged in offering or sales activity related to the franchise agreement in Washington is subject to a specific addendum. This addendum acknowledges the requirements of the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act.
In the event of a conflict of laws, the provisions of the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act, Chapter 19.100 RCW, will take precedence. This ensures that Focalpoint Coaching franchisees in Washington are protected by Washington law.
This means that if there are discrepancies between the standard Focalpoint Coaching franchise agreement and Washington state law, Washington law will govern the franchisee's rights and obligations. This provides a level of security and legal clarity for franchisees operating within the state.
