What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Focalpoint Coaching may require associates and non-coaching employees hired by the franchisee to complete initial and ongoing training programs. The franchisee may be charged a fee for this training.
The franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses, as well as wages, incurred by the franchisee's associates, non-coaching employees, and any other employees attending these training programs. This means that in addition to the training fee that Focalpoint Coaching may charge, the franchisee must also budget for the logistical costs of sending their personnel to training.
Furthermore, the FDD states that the franchisee must pay Focalpoint Coaching their then-current training fee (plus any applicable taxes) within 5 days of hiring or retaining an associate for the associate training program. The franchisee must also pay an additional Initial Marketing Fee for each Associate they retain or hire. The initial marketing fee contributes to Focalpoint Coaching's costs associated with direct marketing for clients for the franchisee's FocalPoint Franchised Business.
