What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay the technology fee when signing the Franchise Agreement. The technology fee is $3,000, plus any applicable taxes, and is paid as a lump sum. This payment represents the first installment of the annual Technology Fee. Franchisees must also pay an additional Technology Fee for each Associate they retain or hire.

The Technology Fee contributes to Focalpoint Coaching's costs associated with the creation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the intranet site and other technology used for the Franchise System. However, if a franchisee operates a Focalpoint Coaching business under an Area Representative Agreement, they will sign an AR Addendum, which waives the obligation to pay the Technology Fee until the Area Representative Agreement terminates or expires.

This initial technology fee is uniform for all new Focalpoint Coaching franchisees and is non-refundable under any circumstances. This means that prospective franchisees should be prepared to pay this fee upfront as part of their initial investment. It is important to note that this fee is in addition to other initial fees, such as the initial franchise fee, initial marketing fee, and initial training fee.
