What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the technology fee is an annual fee. When signing the Franchise Agreement, franchisees must pay Focalpoint Coaching $3,000 plus applicable taxes as the first payment of the annual Technology Fee. Franchisees must also pay an additional Technology Fee for each Associate they retain or hire. This fee contributes to the costs associated with the creation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the intranet site and other technology used for the Focalpoint Coaching Franchise System.
Area Representatives operating under an Area Representative Agreement with Focalpoint Coaching are exempt from paying the Technology Fee until their Area Representative Agreement terminates or expires. The Technology Fee is uniform for all franchisees purchasing a franchise and is not refundable under any circumstances.
Prospective franchisees should note that technology fees are common in franchising, as they help franchisors maintain and improve the technology infrastructure that supports the franchise system. The annual nature of the fee means franchisees should factor this ongoing cost into their financial projections.
