What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs associated with attending training courses and meetings. Specifically, the franchisee must pay all costs to attend these training courses and meetings. This includes both required training courses and the annual national and regional meetings.
Furthermore, if the franchisee has Associates or non-coaching employees, the franchisee is also responsible for paying all travel and living expenses incurred by these individuals during all training courses and programs. Focalpoint Coaching may charge reasonable fees for training Associates and non-coaching employees, which the franchisee is also responsible for paying.
For initial training, Focalpoint Coaching will cover supplied food and reasonable lodging expenses if the training is in-person for the franchisee (or their Managing Owner) and their employees while participating in the initial training program. However, the franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses to and from the designated training facility, as well as the wages and workers' compensation insurance for their employees during travel. Franchisees should consider these potential costs when budgeting for their franchise venture.
