What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally responsible for covering all travel, living, and wage expenses incurred while attending training programs and meetings. Specifically, the franchisee is responsible for these costs for themselves, their managing owner, associates, and other employees. This applies to initial training, ongoing training, annual national meetings, and annual regional meetings.
However, there is an exception regarding initial training. If the initial training is conducted in person, Focalpoint Coaching will cover the cost of supplied food and reasonable lodging expenses for attendees while they are participating in the initial training program. This exception does not extend to travel expenses to and from the training facility, nor does it cover wages or worker's compensation insurance for employees during travel.
Prospective Focalpoint Coaching franchisees should carefully consider these expenses when budgeting for their franchise. It's important to factor in the potential costs of travel, accommodation, food (outside of what Focalpoint Coaching covers during initial in-person training), and wages for all required attendees. These costs can vary significantly depending on the location of the training, the number of employees requiring training, and the duration of the training programs and meetings.
