What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise term is 7 years from the effective date of the Franchise Agreement. A franchisee in full compliance with the agreement has the option to acquire one successor franchise term of 7 years. However, this renewal will be based on Focalpoint Coaching's then-current form of Franchise Agreement, which may differ materially from the original agreement. This means the terms and conditions could change significantly at the time of renewal.

To renew the franchise, a Focalpoint Coaching franchisee must meet several conditions. First, they must be in substantial compliance with the existing Franchise Agreement. Second, they need to provide timely notice to Focalpoint Coaching of their intent to renew. Third, the franchisee must pay the renewal fee. If the Focalpoint Coaching office is in a non-residential location, the franchisee must maintain possession of the current office premises or find a substitute location that is acceptable to Focalpoint Coaching.

Additionally, if the office is in a non-residential location, the franchisee is required to remodel the office to meet Focalpoint Coaching's then-current standards, regardless of the cost. Finally, the franchisee must sign Focalpoint Coaching's then-current Franchise Agreement, a release (if permitted by law), and any other documents that Focalpoint Coaching uses when granting franchises at that time. These terms in the new agreement could include reduced territory size and increased fees, so franchisees should carefully review the new agreement before committing to the renewal term.
