What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Focalpoint Coaching's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, ongoing training is a key component of maintaining brand standards and franchisee success. Focalpoint Coaching may require the franchisee (or the franchisee's Managing Owner), the Business Manager, and other previously trained and experienced employees to attend and complete various training courses. These courses may be offered either online or in-person at locations and times designated by Focalpoint Coaching. The FDD also states that Focalpoint Coaching may require franchisees to attend an annual national meeting and an annual regional meeting.
These ongoing training requirements have financial implications for the franchisee. Focalpoint Coaching may charge reasonable registration or similar fees for these courses. Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for covering all costs associated with attending these training courses and meetings, including travel and living expenses. However, Focalpoint Coaching will not require in-person attendance for more than five days during any calendar year.
In addition to the franchisee and their management team, Focalpoint Coaching may also require that the franchisee's Associates and non-coaching employees satisfactorily complete initial and ongoing training programs. Again, Focalpoint Coaching may charge reasonable fees for this training, and the franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred by these employees during training. The franchisee also agrees to assist Focalpoint Coaching in training other Focalpoint Coaching franchise owners, for which Focalpoint Coaching will reimburse the franchisee's out-of-pocket expenses.
